Pastoral

Bishop White Seminary maintains an apostolic program which provides students with experiences of service that will promote their growth as mature persons and as active Catholics.

First year men in the undergraduate program as well as first year E.S.L students usually need time to adjust to the intellectual, spiritual and personal demands of college seminary life and are therefore not required to engage in apostolic work.

Second and third year men choose from a variety of ministries which offer direct service to those who are poor or marginalized in some way. Second year E.S.L. students engage in pastoral ministry in a parish setting.

Fourth year men and Pre-Theology seminarians have the option of ministry to the poor or service in a local parish in which they have the opportunity to observe and take part in parish ministry.
