National Association of College Seminaries

Bishop White Seminary hosted the annual gathering of the National Association of College Seminaries (NACS) from June 1 through June 4, 2010.  It is the first time that NACS has held their annual meeting in Spokane. 

The theme for the conference was:  "The Spiritual Formation of College Seminarians" and featured speakers such as Benedictine Father Xavier Nacke, Fr. William Kelly and The Most Reverend Roger Schwietz, Archbishop of Anchorage, Alaska.

The Board of NACS also honored long time members Fr.William Baer and Fr. James Presta.  Fr. Baer is completing his term as Rector of St. John Vianney Seminary in Minneapolis and Fr. Presta is finishing as President-Rector of St. Joseph College Seminary in Chicago.  Both priests are well known for their outstanding contributions to college seminary formation.
