Full Steam Ahead at BWS

As the fourth week of the school year begins, it seems that activity in and around the seminary has only hardly subsided from the flurry of events surrounding the installation of Bishop Cupich. In addition to the routine of communal prayer, academic engagement, and pastoral assignments, several notable events stand out.

For Thursday House Night on September 9th, Fr. Michael Maher, S.J. of Gonzaga’s history faculty provided an insightful conference on the theology motivating academic study. During the following House Night on the 16th, Dr. Duane Schaefer, superintendent of the Catholic schools within the diocese, presented on the diocesan Code of Conduct policies. On Sunday the 19th, the seminary hosted Solemn Evening Prayer and an open house for the Knights of Columbus.
